ou will be training along side fellow space explorers at an operational NASA space facility! At Space Flight Adventure Camp you don't just hear what astronauts do, you'll do some of the things astronauts do. You will work with fellow space explorers to launch a "Mission to Mars" as well as build and launch your own model rockets. In addition, you will explore the world of robotics using the LEGO(c) MindStorms system and fly cross-country using Microsoft Flight Simulator. That's not all! You will engineer a simulated rocket launch in an actual NASA mission control room while seated behind a computer console during the launch. You will also visit many of the departments at NASA Wallops Flight Facility to learn what their role is in launching rockets into space. In addition, you will tour the Navy Aegis training center, NOAA Weather Command and Data Acquisition Center, NASA and Virginia Commercial Space Flight launch facilities.
