Scholarship Application 2010

Seven camps are scheduled for ages 11-15 for the summer of 2010. Each camp is limited to 34 students. The major criteria for receiving a scholarship are listed below. A limited number of scholarships will be available for each camp. A completed scholarship form must be received no later than two weeks before the camp date, at the address listed below, in order for your application to be considered for a scholarship. The scholarship committee will select the scholarship recipients for the summer camps. The application must be accompanied by a completed mail-in registration form (do not include payment at this time).

SELECTION CRITERIA

I . Proven interest in space science, school year 2009-2010
2. Letter of recommendation from science teacher or school counselor
3. Economic need

CAMP FEE

A full scholarship will cover the entire $695.00 camp fee. The scholarship covers all camp activities, double occupancy housing, cafeteria meals, transportation to all camp activities, a workbook, camp T-shirt and materials.

If you require only a partial scholarship, which will allow more students to attend
(for example, 25% or $173.75; 50% or $347.50; 75% or $521.25; for a residential camp),

Camp begins on a Sunday afternoon with a picnic and ends ends Friday after graduation - which starts at 12:15 p.m. Campers are responsible for arranging transportation to and from Wallops Island on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
