Eclipse Explorers Workshop

The contiguous United States will experience a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. While only a narrow swath of the country from Texas to Northern New England will experience totality, the rest will experience the eclipse, albeit a partial eclipse. It will still be a sight to see. The next time the United States experiences a total solar eclipse will be in 2044! This workshop will cover what eclipses are, why they occur, how we can predict them, the safety and etiquette when viewing one, and citizen science you can play a part in during this eclipse, no matter your location. You will also get to ask the experts, Hunter Outten and Geoff Bergen, your questions about eclipses. Participants can purchase an Eclipse Explorers pack with a family set of eclipse glasses (6) and other resources.
